Customer Value Agreements FAQ

CVA stands for Customer Value Agreement. A CVA is a partnership plan to streamline fleet maintenance and maximize your equipment investment. The CVA defines support offerings to help manage your equipment through its lifecycle.

A Parts Support CVA is an agreement in which Wheeler Machinery tracks when your machine Preventative Maintenance services are approaching (via Product Link when applicable) and coordinates the availability of discounted maintenance parts as you service your machinery. Parts Support CVAs qualify for the Maintenance Parts Availability guarantee.

A Premium Service CVA expands on a Parts Support CVA. Wheeler Machinery will oversee all Preventative Maintenance for your equipment. We will track and schedule your PM services, supply parts, manage new and used oil logistics, and provide the labor to perform services at your convenience! Services can be scheduled after hours to not interrupt your production hours. We will provide a machine inspection report following the service, and fluid analysis results to show current health status of component fluid. Experts support your team with training and access to CAT digital applications! In addition to Maintenance Parts Availability and Repair Parts Availability guarantees, our Services Commitment now includes Wheeler Machinery’s Uptime Guarantee!

If you are on a Parts Support CVA or Premium Service CVA, we guarantee we’ll have maintenance parts available for you by the end of the next business day! If we don’t meet our guarantee, you will receive a credit for the cost of the parts up to $1000!

If you are on a Premium Service CVA, we guarantee we’ll have repair parts available for you by the end of the second business day! If we don’t meet our guarantee, you will receive a credit for the cost of the parts up to $1000!

Our Services Commitment aligns Wheeler with your operational needs. The Services Commitment includes guarantees such as Maintenance Parts Availability, Repair Parts Availability, and Uptime Guarantees.

Services Commitment aligns the dealer with your operational needs. Premium Service CVAs quality for both shop and field guarantees:

Shop: Priority Scheduling at any of our 8 shop locations, inspection/diagnostics/estimate within 2 business days, and guaranteed to be completed by the promised date or receive a $1000 credit towards your next service!

Field: Remote diagnostics, machine repaired and back to work by the end of the second business day from your call, or you will receive a $1000 credit toward your next service!

New and renewed Premium Service CVAs qualify starting May 1st 2025

If you request field service for unplanned repairs on a Wednesday, our guarantee is to have your machine running by the end of business day Friday. If your request is on a Friday, our guarantee is to have the machine running by the end of business day on Tuesday.

This program requires a minimum of a 1-year, 2000-hour CVA

We utilize CAT Product Link telematics. Most machines come equipped with this from Caterpillar, and it can be added to any machine as needed.

Machines on a Premium Service CVA quality for Product Link repairs. Your subscription is also covered and provides daily updates of machine hours, location, and other machine health data produced by the machine. If Product Link is not working when you initiate the CVA, we can provide an estimate to repair the telematics system so you can enjoy the future coverage and benefits of telematics.

Wheeler Machinery will cover the VisionLink subscription to bring third party telematics data over from your provider, allowing us to manage service timelines. Repair or replacement of third party telematics systems are not covered as part of the CVA.

Customer or operator damage, neglect, or dealer repair recommendations are not followed.

Mining equipment, non-CAT equipment, electric power or commercial engines.

Eligible Cat Machine Models shall mean all GCI and BCP Cat machines manufactured on or after January 1, 2011, within the following product families:

Backhoe Loaders

Compact Loaders Dozers (Small & Medium)

Hydraulic Excavators

Landfill Compactors

Mini Excavators

Motor Graders (up to 140)

Multi-Terrain Loaders

Off-Highway Trucks (up to 775)

Paving Equipment and Compactors

Pipelayers

Skid Steers

Soil Compactors

Telehandlers

Track Type Loaders

Wheel Dozers (up to 834)

Wheel Loaders (up to 990)

Wheel Track Scrapers

Wheeled Excavators

(Caterpillar 992 Wheel Loaders and 777 Off-Highway Trucks are excluded from the eligible machine models.)

The following CAT parts are excluded:

1. Cat parts listed in the Caterpillar Constrained Parts List due to supplier chronic constraints or transportation interruptions outside of Caterpillar’s control.

2. Cat parts orders in Excessive or Bulk Orders.

3. Cat parts considered by Caterpillar as Made as Ordered Items.

4. Discontinued Cat parts.

5. Any Cat parts ordered by Cat dealers other than the participating Cat dealer that signed the new or renewed CVA with the CI Customer for the Eligible Cat Machine Models.

6. Cat parts ordered by participating Cat dealers under rental fleet CVAs.

7. Any Cat parts not included in the list of Cat parts within the scope of the Services Commitment Program

After one year of continuous Premium Service CVA enrollment.

Total Maintenance and Repair agreements create a partnership between you and Wheeler Machinery! The ultimate experience in dealer-managed maintenance and repairs for your equipment. Known costs allow you to budget for machine costs by the hour, removing variability for failures and repairs. Focus on your projects while your dedicated Wheeler equipment manager monitors machine health, manages repairs, schedules maintenance, and plans for component lifecycles!

The program begins for all qualified CVA’s enrolled or renewed on or after May 1st 2025, and may be renewed each year on July 1st for an additional 12 months.

A CAT Prepaid Credit will be issued. These credits may be used to purchase parts, services, sales, rental and work tools. Cannot be applied to new machine purchases. May not be used to purchase items for personal, family or household use. Will include the expiration date in the electronic certificate. May not be used towards satisfying balances on any indebtedness held by Caterpillar Financial or CFCAC. Cannot be redeemed for cash or cash equivalent. Will be issued for an amount that is based only on the actual price of the Cat part(s) paid by the CI Customer, excluding taxes and any other fees, charges or costs. Credits expire 365 days after being issued.

They may be used on a following service visit or field repair completed by Wheeler Machinery. Service Credits are not transferrable to another dealer service territory. Credits expire after 365 days of the issue date.
